Research: Software, IT services’ market of Romania will grow annually by 11pct until 2018

The software and IT services’ market of Romania will grow in an annual rhythm of 11pct in the next three years, the provisions for end- 2015 being 14pct, according to the outcome of the ‘Software and IT Services in Romania’ research released by ANIS – the Employers’ Association of Software and Services Industry and carried by PAC – Pierre Audoin Consultants.

According to the source, the incomes of the Romanian IT and services’ companies have increased by 13pct in 2014, as compared to 2013, reaching 2.42 billion euro.

Forecast for 2015 indicates a 14pct growth of the industry’s incomes and a medium annual increase rate of 11pct for the next three years.

Generally speaking, the IT&C industry has recorded last year the highest weight in the Gross Domestic Product so far, meaning 6pct out of which 2.5pct were generated by the software and services segment.

As regards the theoretical potential of the software and IT services’ industry of Romania, the deputy-chairman for Romania and Central and Eastern Europe of the PAC, Eugen Schwab says it could exceed 6 billion euro by 2020.

The ‘Software and IT Services in Romania’ research is an ANIS project carried by Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC) in February-June 2015 and it is at its second edition. A first edition of the research was released in November 2013, Agerpres informs.
