Nearly 134,500 persons crossed the border check points in last 24hrs

Approximately 134,500 persons and 35,000 vehicles have crossed the Romanian border check points in the past 24 hours, both on entry and exit ways to and from the country.

According to a release remitted by the General Border Police Inspectorate (IGPF) sent on Thursday to Agerpres, in the said period of time the border police have found five offences and 11 misdemeanors committed by Romanian and foreign nationals, the value of the fines mounting to approximately 5,500 lei. (1 euro=4.5 lei)

Likewise, goods worth 200,000 lei were found that exceeded the admitted customs’ ceiling or suspected to be counterfeit.

Out of legal reasons, the entry into the country of eight foreign nationals and the exit of 12 Romanian citizens from the country were not allowed.
