Romanian Police: Over 300 felonies recorded by policemen in December

Policemen have recorded in December over 300 felonies, issued approximately 19,000 fines worth 5 million lei, and have seized over 8,600 kilograms of meat and meat products.

Most fines have been applied for infringing the provisions of the Law regarding social cohabitation and public order, but also for infringements of the Law regarding the protection of the population against illicit commercial activities and the Law regarding sanitary-veterinarian norms and food safety, the Romanian General Police Inspectorate mentions in a Thursday release to Agerpres.

For the holidays, under the coordination of the Public Order Direction of the IGPR, policemen have acted nationally for the prevention of the theft of animals and for maintaining respect for legislation regarding the transport, butchering and selling of animals.
