2016 brings Charles Aznavour, the famous guitarist Brian May (photo), and the legendary Queen band with Adam Lambert for the first time to Romania.
Also in 2016 Andre Rieu, Lara Fabian, Richard Clayderman, and Nana Mouskouri return, on concerts, to Romania.
*** The 2016 concerts’ series is opened by Ada Milea and her guests – Anca Hanu, Cristi Rigman and Bobo Burlacianu – on January 3 at the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest.
*** The pan-pipe maestro, Gheorghe Zamfir will concert together with his band on January 13 at Bucharest’s Hard Rock Cafe.
*** The lads of ‘Zdob si Zdub’ return to Bucharest on January 17, on a concert at Arenele Romane.
*** A first in the live shows of Romania will be staged on January 18, at the Bucharest National Theatre, where Alexandra Usurelu will use during the “#PUR” concert projections on the three sides of the scene, thus creating the illusion of a 3D film. The artist will be accompanied by her band and Muse Orchestra.
*** The first foreign artist who will perform for the first time in Romania will be Lura, on January 24, at Hard Rock Cafe.
*** On January 29, the rock lovers will have the opportunity to attend the Metalhead Alternative Rock Awards 2015 Gala, at Arenele Romane.
*** January ends with a show by Canadian Paul Anka, on 30, at the Palace Hall.
*** The Vita-de-Vie band will celebrate on February 20 two decades of activity by a concert at Arenele Romane.
*** On February 20 will perform, as a first in Romania, Charles Aznavour, in Bucharest on his last tour of his career.
*** The fado soloist Ana Moura will bring on February 27, at the Palace Hall refined Portuguese sonorities.
*** On March 3, at the Palace Hall maestro Tudor Gheorghe is inviting the Romanians to the 15th anniversary of his “Spring symphonic” album.
*** Nana Mouskouri comes again to Bucharest on March 5, on a concert at the Palace Hall.
On the same day, at Arenele Romane the Bucharesters will witness an event signed TrancENDancE, with one of the artists who have dedicated their entire career to the trance music – Ferry Corsten.
*** On March 8, known as Woman’s Day, the Directia 5 band offers the ladies “the most beautiful musical gift” on a concert at the Palace Hall.
On the same occasion, yet on March 9 the reputed pianist Richard Clayderman returns to Bucharest on a concert with a different repertoire, especially chosen for the International Woman’s Day. The show will be called “Balade pour elle” / Ballad for her, and will have as special guest the pan-pipe performer Gheorghe Zamfir.
*** Brian May, guitarist of the Queen legendary band, composer, producer and one of the world’s best known musicians, will be in Romania for the first time, on March 14. He will climb up the scene of the Palace Hall alongside Kerry Ellis, one of the new sensations of the Broadway and West End. The Bucharest show will be part of the 2nd part of the “One Voice” tour.
*** The Straits former project, currently called ‘The Dire Straits Experience’ will be heard&seen on March 20 at the Palace Hall, and on March 24, Joshua Redman Trio will perform as a first in Romania at the Radio Concerts’ Hall, within the Jazz Night Out.
*** On April 14 returns to Romania Alessandro Safina, with a concert that should have taken place on December 21. He will be accompanied by 74 musicians known as “The Alexander Symphony Orchestra”.
*** Lara Fabian is back to Romania on April 22 for a concert to be performed within the “Un Soir Autour Du Monde” / An evening around the world tour. She will also concert on April 20 in Cluj-Napoca.
*** The fifth edition of the Metalhead Meeting festival, an anniversary, is to take place between June 3 and 5, at Arenele Romane of Bucharest.
*** One of the looked forward concerts by the Bucharesters will be that of the famous violinist Andre Rieu, who’s back in Bucharest with a show on June 11, alongside his Orchestra Johann Strauss.
*** On June 21, in the Constitution Square, the public will have the occasion to see live for the first time here, the Queen legendary band with Adam Lambert.
