The National Weather Administration (ANM) issued a nationwide advisory of snowfall, mixed precipitation and glazed ice, effective from Monday 18:00 hrs till Tuesday noon.
According to the forecasters, between January 4, 18:00 hrs – January 5, 12:00 snowfall – yet in meager amounts – will expand again over the greatest part of the country; limited areas in the regions of Oltenia and Muntenia are expected to have 10 centimeters of snow.
Dobrogea and temporarily the south-east of Muntenia will see mixed precipitation that will develop into glaze ice.
ANM said the overall, small amounts of precipitation are also expected in the next days, but the mix of snow and freezing rain headed mainly to the southern regions will generate ice glaze.
Depending on the evolution and intensity of the phenomena, the weather forecasters announced they will update the advisory.
