Insolvencies drop, business deregistrations, activity suspension increase 11 months into 2015

The number of insolvencies dropped by 52pc in the first 11 months of last year but the number of deregistrations rose by 12.4pc, that of dissolutions by 45.5pc, and that of activity suspension by 6.2pc, according to the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC) statistics.

The number of insolvencies recorded from January to November 2015 reached 9,446.

In the first 11 months of 2015 as many as 78,524 companies were deregistered. There were 24,613 operation dissolutions, that is an increase by 45.54pc, and 15,417 activity suspensions (+6.24pc).
