Electoral authority: Romanian parties get 1.2M lei subventions in January

The state subvention to the political parties amounted to 1,231,164 lei in January, the Standing Electoral Authority (AEP) informed in a release on Friday.

The National Liberal Party got 532,453.43 lei; the Social Democrat Party 444,599.78 lei; the People’s Party – Dan Diaconescu 186,824.45 lei; the Conservative Party 43,212.57 lei; the National Union for Romania’s Progress 20,329.42 lei; and the Christian Democrat National Peasants’ Party 3,744,35 lei.

Subsidies to the political parties are granted in accordance with Law 334/2006 and with Government Decision 749/2007, with all subsequent amendments and additions.
