PM Ciolos to pay two-day official visit to France next week

Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos will pay an official visit to France on January 20 and 21, Government’s spokesman Dan Suciu announced.

“It will be a very complex two-day visit. The departure is scheduled for the morning of January 20 aboard an airline aircraft. Accompanying the Prime Minister will be Economy Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Costin Borc, and Foreign Affairs Minister Lazar Comanescu. If the other elements of the visit are clarified, the Culture Minister and the Defence Minister will also join the delegation. (…) There will be a working lunch with President Francois Hollande, also attended by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls. Then, there are scheduled meetings with French Republic Senate President Gerard Larcher and National Assembly President Claude Bartolone,” Suciu said on Wednesday.

He pointed out that on the second day of the visit the Prime Minister will have meetings with several French companies’ heads.

“This visit will have a significant economic dimension. If the other meetings of ministers are confirmed, we shall also have meetings related to security and military collaboration and culture. We may also have a visit at the Brancusi Museum on the second day,” the Government spokesman mentioned.
