MAE: We hail meeting of preparatory measures related to Iranian nuclear file

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) hails meeting the preparatory measures related to the Iranian nuclear file and expresses appreciation towards the “consistent and substantial” diplomatic efforts of the states involved, as well as towards openness manifested by Iran to implement the assumed measures, reads a press release issued by MAE for Agerpres on Sunday.

According to the cited source, MAE hails marking the day of implementing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), signed six months ago between E3+3 states (China, France, Germany, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and the USA) and Iran.

MAE informs that this announcement was made on Saturday, in Vienna, by EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini and Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, following the publication by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of the report confirming the fulfillment by Iran of the preparatory measures in the Plan.

The quoted source reminds that on July 14, 2015 in Vienna, the E3+3 states and Iran reached a final agreement on the Iranian nuclear file, called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action. On the same time, the IAEA and Iran signed the “Roadmap for Clarification of Past and Present Outstanding Issues in terms of Iran’s Nuclear Programme,” which supplements the Agreement between the E3+3 and Iran.
