OTP Bank and Porsche Bank raise their Romanian subsidiaries’ capital

Two financial institutions benefitted from capital contributions from abroad in November 2015, namely OTP Bank Romania and Porsche Bank Romania, contributions that totalled EUR 47.6 M, according to National Trade Registry Office (ONRC) data.

According to the same source, OTP Bank raised its registered capital by EUR 38.46 M in November, while Porsche Bank Romania raised its registered capital by EUR 9.1 M, Agerpres informs.
In 2014, OTP, one of the most important independent creditors in Central and Eastern Europe, took over two smaller banks – Banco Popolare in Croatia and Millenium Bank in Romania.
In the first nine months of last year, parent banks capitalized their Romanian subsidiaries with EUR 593.83 M, compared to EUR 113.46 M during the same period the year before.
ONRC’s monthly data covers the top 40 companies that registered capital contributions to their registered capital, ranking them based on the value of the sums earmarked.
