The National Tourism Authority (NTA) will take part, on January 20-24, in the 36th edition of the FITUR International Tourism Fair in Madrid, Spain.
In the strategy for the promotion of Romanian tourism, the Spanish market represents a top priority market. The statistic data show Spain is one of the top 10 sources of foreign tourists in Romania, an NTA communiqué shows.
At FITUR, Romania will have an exhibition stand with a surface area of 178.5 square metres and will be represented by 24 tourism agencies, county councils and tourism associations that will promote Romania’s tourism sites.
FITUR’s current edition registers a record level of participants, being set to involve 9,500 companies from 165 countries and regions and an exhibition area of 60,000 square metres, according to the data posted on the event’s website.
The number of participants is registering 3 per cent growth, while the number of visitors is expected to surpass 222,555.
FITUR is the most important tourism fair in Spain.
