Social Democratic Party (PSD) President Liviu Dragnea started on Tuesday a four-day working visit to Israel, at the invitation of Isaac Herzog, the leader of the opposition in the Knesset. During this time, he will meet political leaders, members of the Benjamin Netanyahu Government, as well as other Israeli authorities.
Among others, the PSD President will meet Health Minister Yaakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism Party), Immigrant Absorption Minister Ze’ev Elkin (Likud), Minister of Information Gilad Erdan (Likud) and Energy Minister Yuval Steintz (Likud).
PSD’s delegation will also consist of Lower Chamber Deputy Speaker Gabriel Vlase, Lower Chamber MP Daniel Florea, PSD Vice Presidents Gabriela Firea and Georgian Pop, as well as Silviu Vexler, personal advisor to Aurel Vainer, Chairman of the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania.
The Social Democrats will visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust, Israel’s Holy Places and the Romanian Church in Jerusalem, and will meet representatives of the Romanian community in Israel.
