Alexandru Belemuski won the Contemporary Piano Award in Madrid

Romanian pianist Alexandru Belemuski, aged 28, won the Contemporary Piano Award at the Annual Gala organized by the Foundation for the Promotion of Young Musicians Miguel Angel Colmenero, an event held in Madrid, a press release issued on Sunday evening by Defeses Fine Arts PR Agency in Madrid announces.

The award was won by the young Romanian pianist after he had performed the piece “Suite for Piano” by Spanish composer Jesus Aranda, presented at the ‘Carmelo Bernaola’ Composition Contest.
The Contemporary Piano award was handed to the Romanian pianist by the well-known Spanish composer Sebastian Marine, member of a jury that included elite musicians of the Spanish culture. The gala was followed by a concert by the winners. At this concert Alexandru Belemuski had had a solo performance and a duet with a Spanish soprano.

After winning the competition, Alexandru Belemuski was invited to perform at the prestigious Auditorio Nacional din Madrid, on January 16, 2016.

Alexandru Belemuski was born in Romania, in Giurgiu, in 1988. He has moved to Spain in 2000 and he has graduated the Superior Music Conservatoire in Aragon.
