Conpet shares up over 70pct since stock market listing

Crude oil transport company Conpet’s CEO Liviu Ilasi has said on Friday that the company’s shares has been risen by over 70pct since they were listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).

According to Ilasi, the shareholding structure of the company has diversified lately.

At the same time, the company’s manager said that this company which has over 1,750 employees in 24 counties of Romania should become a regional and European operator.

“Romania, through its strategic position, cannot be ignored by any solution regarding energy transport in Europe. Our Black Sea opening and position to western Europe are arguments that must be capitalised on,”said Liviu Ilasi.

Conpet organized on Friday at its Ploiesti headquarters a series of actions to mark 115 years of crude oil pipeline transport in Romania and also 25 years of being in business.
