Republic of Moldova PM visits Romania on Tuesday

President Klaus Iohannis will welcome the new Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Pavel Filip at the Cotroceni Palace on Tuesday.

According to a Presidential Administration communication, the meeting between the two officials will take place at 12,00hrs.

The Moldovan PM will also have a meeting with his Romanian counterpart Dacian Ciolos.

According to a Moldovan Government release, the visit was agreed following a telephone conversation between the two prime ministers and on the meeting agenda there will be topical issues concerning the bilateral relations, as well as the actions that are going to be carried out by the two governments in order to thrust the process of implementing the initiatives and projects agreed upon between Chisinau and Bucharest. The two prime ministers will also talk about the reform agenda established in the Republic of Moldova – the European Union Association Agreement.

This is the first visit of Prime Minister Petru Filip after his investiture and comes in the context of the protests against the new government of Chisinau continuing.
