E.ON Romania: Over EUR 1.3 bln invested in 10 years

In 2015, E.ON invested approximately RON 14 M in modernizing 85 kilometres of the natural gas transmission grid in the Alba Iulia municipality, representing approximately 40 per cent of the length of the entire grid in the city, a company communiqué informs.

E.ON Distributie Romania has modernized and extended 330 kilometres of natural gas transmission grid in several localities in Alba County since 2005, Agerpres informs.

Last year, the company completed the modernization of almost 4 kilometres of pipelines and connecting pipe on 10 streets in Alba Iulia, and the goal for this year is to modernize another 7 kilometres of pipelines and connecting pipe on 20 streets. The total value of the investment projects in the city stands at approximately RON 3 M in 2015-2016.

At the level of the whole company, the natural gas transmission grid has been modernized (replacement of pipelines and coating) on a length of almost 6,350 kilometres and was extended by approximately 1,250 kilometres. E.ON’s investment effort in its 10 years of presence in Romania totalled over RON 5.12 bln (almost EUR 1.3 bln).
