The Romanian Government has established, at the proposition of the Permanent Electoral Authority, to set the date of local elections on June 5, as Nine O’Clock has announced a week ago.
The electoral campaign starts on May 6, if the version of one voting round is applied in local elections. If they apply the elections in two voting rounds, as Liberals and other parties demanded, the first round would be held in the last week of May and the second in the first week of June, which is precisely June 5, stiripesurse.ro reported.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos had a meeting to discuss the organizing of elections with Permanent Electoral Authority manager Ana Maria Patru.
