Marcela Gui to coordinate Intesa Sanpaolo Bank’s operating activity

Marcela Gui has become the most recent Deputy CEO and the first woman member of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania’s Managing Committee (executive leadership), her appointment currently undergoing the process of obtaining the National Bank of Romania’s (BNR) approval.

Marcela Gui has worked for almost 20 years for Intesa Sanpaolo Bank and was part of the first team that laid the bank’s foundations at local level. She will continue to coordinate the bank’s operating activity and administrative structures in Arad, as Chief Operating Officer (COO), just as she has done in the last 4 years. Marcela Gui basically directly supervises the activity of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank’s IT, back office and payments, logistics, credit security and management structures.

“An important element in my and Intesa Sanpaolo Group’s view on management and leadership consists of promoting local managers and talents. Marcela is the second Romanian and the first woman co-opted within our bank’s management committee in the last 2 years. And this strategy will definitely continue in the future too,” Intesa Sanpaolo Bank CEO Marco Capellini stated.
