King of Waltz, Andre Rieu, celebrates fifth grandchild

Great musician and composer Andre Rieu, who has performed no less than seven concerts last year in Romania, the country where he is tremendously popular, enjoys both artistic and personal success.

The King of Waltz, as he is nicknamed, recently became a grandfather for the fifth time. Andre is married to Marjorie for 41 years and together they have two sons, Marc, a painter, and Pierre, Vice-President of the company Andre Rieu Production. At the age of 66, Andre Rieu is the proud grandfather of four, and three of them are already studying violin. His older son Marc became the father of a little boy a few days ago.

According to a press release, the new member of the Rieu family was born at the beginning of January.

As for career plans, Andre Rieu has completed the programme of his world tour for 2016. It started by the half of January with a series of concerts in Germany and is due to continue in Belgium, Turkey, Denmark, Sweden, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Holland, New Zeeland and Australia.

The world famous musician and composer has always wanted to make classical music accessible for a wide audience and he managed to fulfil this dream due to his magnificent performances worldwide, accompanied by the highly reputed Johann Strauss Orchestra, Choir and soloists.

Thus, he returns to Bucharest this year as well with a new concert on June 11, on the stage located in Constitution Square, starting at 8:30 PM. Besides surprises prepared especially for Romanian fans, irresistible waltzes, classical music, operetta or musical arias will contour the specific atmosphere of an unforgettable evening.
The tickets for this event are available in Eventim network –partner stores for Orange, Vodafone, Germanos stores, Carturesti and Humanitas book shops, Carrefour hipermarkets and OMV gas stations, as well as online on www.eventim.ro.

The prices of tickets range depending on seat category, as follows: RON 172.80 for Category VII, RON 205.20 for Category VI, RON 270 for Category V, RON 378 for Category IV, RON 486 for Category III, RON 594 for Category II, RON 702 for Category I and RON 864 for the VIP Category.
