The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) recorded a number of 100,513 transactions worth over 812.6 million lei (179.3 million euros) in January, according to data posted on the BVB website.
The daily average value of trade stood at about 40.6 million lei for 20 trading sessions that took place. A number of 66,645 transactions in excess of 631.8 million lei were conducted in shares on the main tier, with 84 issuing companies and 40 intermediaries. Moreover, there were 42 transactions in bonds, with their total value reaching 100.1 million lei.
According to the BVB data, certificate transactions worth over 41.3 million lei also took place in January.
December 29 – January 29, the Fondul Proprietatea stock was the most traded on BVB, with the total value of the transactions having exceeded 151.1 million lei. The second position was taken by Banca Transilvania, with 124.7 million lei, and the third by Romgaz, with 79.7 million lei.
On the Alternative Trading System (ATS) there were 4,082 stock transactions worth 37.2 million lei, for 306 issuing companies and 34 intermediaries. Also, 3 trades in bonds amounting to 1.57 million lei were also carried out on the ATS.
On the ATS, in the period December 29 – January 29, the most traded stock was Practic SA Bucharest, with transactions worth 28.6 million lei. The second spot is taken by Deutsche Bank, with 1.32 million lei, and the third by Gastronom SA Buzau, with 1.07 million lei.
