Chep Romania enters dairy industry’s logistics market

Chep Romania, the subsidiary of the global leader in pallet and container pooling services, has announced it will enter the logistics services market of the dairy industry, as partner of Delaco, one of the industry’s main players. The provider of logistics services will take over pallet operations related to the distribution activity, by implementing the pallet pooling service.

Thus, Delaco becomes the first dairy market player that is starting a process of rendering its logistics chain efficient by converting to the pooling system that Chep offers.

The main advantages of outsourcing the pallet management operations consists of cost reduction and the reduction of operating risks, shortening the delivery time and improving the availability of products on the shelves – priority areas both for producers and for large store chains. Likewise, the pooling system allows companies to avoid declaring the packaging introduced on the market and the payment of environment protection taxes related to packaging.
