Heavy water plant remains insolvent

The Craiova Court of Appeals has decided to temporarily suspend the bankruptcy of the Autonomous Nuclear Activities Agency (RAAN) until the challenge filed by the trustee in bankruptcy and the special trustee is settled, Agerpres informs, citing energy sector sources.

The Craiova Court of Appeals decision cannot be challenged.

Consequently, until the court takes a decision on the challenges filed, RAAN return to the insolvency procedure.

The Mehedinti Court decided, on January 28, that RAAN should enter bankruptcy, at the request of the creditors’ committee. Tudor & Associates, the trustee in bankruptcy, and Ion Sarbulescu, the special trustee, appealed against that decision.

Euro Insol had been temporarily appointed official receiver.
