+ Georgios Stassis, Enel Green Power’s Head of Eastern Europe & Egypt, has been named Enel Romania’s new Country Manager + Current Country Manager Toni Volpe is moving on to another top executive position outside the Enel Group
Enel’s operations in Romania are set to be led by Georgios Stassis following Country Manager Toni Volpe’s stepping down from his current role to pursue a management position outside the Enel Group. The formal management change will be effective by the end of February.
Mr. Stassis has been with the Enel Group since 2007 and as Enel Green Power’s Head of Eastern Europe & Egypt is currently responsible for EGP’s operations in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and Egypt.
Prior to joining EGP, Mr. Stassis was Executive Director of Strategic Projects & Procurement and a member of the Executive/Management Committee of Tellas Telecom, the biggest alternative telecom operator in Greece. Georgios Stassis is affiliated with a number of non-profit organisations, including as a Board member of several Renewable Energy Institutions and Associations in the Balkans and Middle East.
Mr. Stassis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Master’s Degrees in Construction Management from Kingston University in the United Kingdom.
