Nuclearelectrica net profit, up 13pct in 2015

Nuclearelectrica National Company recorded a 2015 net profit of 149.84 million lei, up 13 percent from 133.06 million lei net profit in 2014, as well as a total turnover of 154.45 million lei, according to a report by the company posted on the website of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) on Monday.

EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) increased 9 percent from the same period of the previous year, to 601.08 million lei.
Revenue totalled 1.74 billion lei, out of which 1.67 billion lei were revenue from electricity sales and 75.24 million lei was revenue from energy transmission.
The Romanian Government is the majority shareholder in Nuclearelectrica, with an 82.49-percent stake.
