Metropolitan Life signs strategic partnership with Banca Transilvania

Metropolitan Life has signed a strategic partnership with Banca Transilvania, a partnership through which the bank’s clients can benefit from life insurance packages attached to consumer loans.

“Metropolitan Life’s association with one of the most dynamic banking institution in Romania proves once again that we invest in the future. We want our products to be accessible to as high a number of Romanians as possible, Romanians that can receive protection suitable for their financial needs,” Metropolitan Life CEO Emilia Bunea stated.
Banca Transilvania clients who sign consumer loan contracts can benefit from Metropolitan Life life insurances attached to the loans. Likewise, the bank’s clients who have saving accounts for children, KidCONT, can choose to attach to them Dr. Kid life insurances with health benefits, while clients who have current accounts can choose to attach to them life insurances that cover personal accident.

The Metropolitan Life insurance attached to a Banca Transilvania loan offers financial protection to the client and the client’s family for the loan balance in case of fatal event caused by illness or accident. Moreover, in case of involuntary loss of employment (for those employed) or temporary work incapacity (for authorized physical persons), the insurance covers loan instalments for a maximum period of 12 months.

Dr. Kid is the life insurance with benefits for children’s health, attached to the KidCONT deposit at Banca Transilvania. The insurance offers 24/7 financial protection and covers a series of unwanted events children can be exposed to: from fractures and burns to hospitalization or surgery. At the same time, Dr. Kid offers financial protection in case of invalidity and severe illness. Optionally, the insurance can be extended to the parent that signs the contract, in case of his death or invalidity caused by an accident. The protection offered to the parent in case of an unwanted event goes as high as RON 120,000 and can represent a substantial financial aid for the child. The monthly instalment for the Dr. Kid insurance depends on the type of package and protection chosen, ranging from RON 48 to RON 134.
