+ The “WEB-NGO” programme helps Romanian NGOs develop their advertising capacities through free web page design and the tapping into various international grants, including Google AdGrants for nonprofits
Over 200 Romanian NGOs applied for the “WEB-NGO” programme in 2015, a programme whose main goals are developing the NGOs’ advertising capacity, boosting their absorption of national and international funds and raising the Romanians’ confidence in the actions of non-profit organizations.
Of those, 30 international projects for NGOs have already won, and 170 are in the process of enlistment. Moreover, the Digital Europe Association – the initiator of the national programme and the first Google certified partner organization in Romania – announces that for 2016 it has earmarked another 200 slots for the “WEB-NGO” programme that has at its disposal a fund of USD 9 M in Google grants for the online advertising of organizations. The organizations that signed up for the “WEB-NGO” programme registered last year over 1 million users on their web pages and over 16 million search engine results for their social projects.
The “WEB-NGO” programme is meant to help Romanian NGOs develop promotion capacities, through free web design and the tapping into various international grants, including Google Ad Grants for nonprofits, which offer them a monthly budget of USD 10,000, which they can use for online advertising on the Google search engine.

This sum is used by the organizations in order to advertise their actions in the world’s biggest search engine, and for 2016 we have earmarked another 200 slots for NGOs that can use the USD 9 M fund for online advertising,” “Digital Europe” Association President Remus Lucut stated.
