The French company’s public relations service organized a necessary and interesting meeting with the press yesterday. Gabriel Stanciu, Managing Director Romania, Bulgaria and Republic of Moldova (photo), showed significant openness toward topics that mainly concerned railway infrastructure in our country. The company, Alstom Transport, one of the best-known companies in the world in the railway equipments and infrastructure sector, presented several novelties in which its Romanian subsidiary is involved on the local market. From the maintenance of Metrorex Bucharest subway trains to modernization works on several railway sections that are part of Pan-European Corridor IV. One of Alstom’s most notable achievements was the Curtici-Arad railway section. But Alstom’s pride, just as it is the pride of us all, is the Arad Railway Station which has become, following the French company’s works, one of the most modern in Central and Eastern Europe. The Arad Railway Station was modernized as part of the Transport Sectoral Operational Programme co-financed by the European Union through the Cohesion Fund.
