Dragos Doros appointed new chief tax officer

Dragos Doros is the new head of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF), according to a decision of Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos published on Friday in the Official Journal.

Under the decision, Doros is appointed chairman of ANAF holding a state secretary office. On February 11, Daniel Diaconescu was appointed deputy chair of ANAF and mandated to deputise for the ANAF chair until a new full chair is appointed.

Diaconescu’s appointment as acting ANAF chairman came after ANAF Chairman Gelu Diaconu was dismissed from office for being prosecuted in a corruption case that also involved MPs Madalin Voicu and Nicolae Paun.
