Cotnari wines win five medals in Paris

Cotnari wines won 5 medals at the 22nd edition of the Vinalies International Competition, an event that took place in Paris, on February 26 – March 1, under the aegis of the International Vine and Wine Organisation, according to a company communiqué.

More than 3,500 wine samples from over 40 countries took part in the Paris competition. The competition’s international jury awarded the wines that are part of the Cotnari, Grasa de Cotnari 1985 and Grasa de Cotnari 2000 vinoteque, as well as Cotnari wines from 2015 production, Blanc Cotnari, Tamaioasa Romaneasca medium-dry and Tamaioasa Romaneasca sweet wine.

Prior to this competition, Cotnari wines won 6 medals at a competition in Chisinau.

“Young wines produced in 2015, and awarded so far, prove that the Cotnari Vineyard will be honourably represented at international competitions in the following years too,” the company points out.
