Over 80pc of foreign tourists traveling to Romania choose hotels with free Internet access

Over 80pc of the foreign tourists coming to Romania book travel packages with free Internet access, and in this context 85pc of Romanian hotels provide such a service, shows a specialist analysis posted on Wednesday by an online travel agency.
The findings of the survey show that, 80pc of the hotels abroad provide Internet access, but many of the luxury ones – for a fee, with prices ranging between 10 and 30 euros per day.
Locally, Ploiesti, Bucharest, Timisoara, Galati, Constanta and Cluj-Napoca are the main cities on the map of business tourism that provide the best connection to the Internet via Wi-Fi.
According to, which has conducted the survey, the foreign tourists coming to Romania for personal purposes seek hotels offering accommodation packages with included Wi-Fi services, and 65pc of them travel for business and opt for hotels with a minimum of four stars.
As to Romanians traveling abroad, these mainly choose hotels that provide free Internet connection. According to the cited source, the Romanian tourists who are more ‘addicted’ to web services are active young people, with an average age of 40 years who want permanent connection, both for personal as well as for professional purposes.
The Paravion analysis into the Wi-Fi services used by tourists in Romania and abroad was conducted in the context of the statement made by Bernie Sanders, the Democratic candidate for U.S. President, who said recently that Internet services in Bucharest are faster than those in the U.S.
