Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks announced on Wednesday a new, more dynamic visual identity for the AXN television channels that are available in 90 per cent of Romanian households. The new look features new logo and graphics, being visible on all AXN platforms (online and on-air) starting on March 17.
“AXN had unbelievable success in Romania since last autumn, with a ratings growth of almost 50 per cent compared to the same period last year. Seeing our viewers’ interest, we continue to be the destination for those looking for entertainment, suspense and action,” SPT Networks Central Europe CEO John Rossiter (photo) stated.
“Our new visual identity reaffirms the company’s constant commitment to answer the viewers’ needs with its television listings, through constant dialogue with the public connected to the AXN brand both through traditional channels as well as digital or social media ones,” Rossiter added.
At the same time, AXN announced that it will “answer the wishes of television viewers who are looking for content full of intrigue, passion and emotions,” with the Shannara Chronicles, Mad Dogs and The Players premieres. Likewise, this spring will see the return of Unforgettable, season 4, Bones, season 3, Body of Proof, season 3, and Criminal Minds, season 11.
Likewise, SPT Networks is launching a mobile app available for Android users starting in March. AXN’s global portfolio includes 49 channels available in 62 countries, with subtitling or voice-over translations in 19 languages, reaching the homes of over 237 million people.
