2015 results show that it was a successful year for CEB Romania in many terms. The Bank delivered a solid financial performance that its net profit before tax reached a satisfactory level of EUR 12 million, while the solvency ratio stood at over 15%.
“Despite the challenging environment, in 2015 our corporate and SME lending activities showed a considerable growth. The corporate and SME loan book grew more than 50% while our total loan book grew over 14%”, said Yakup Cil, Credit Europe Bank Romania CEO.
On the retail side, the plastic cards business continued to be the main driver of new retail business generation with the CardAvantaj brand. The total number of credit cards increased by 5% and the total credit cards turnover grew over 8%.
During 2015, the total customer deposits remained stable at EUR 600 million levels with a well-diversified deposit base.
“Looking ahead, we are confident in our ability to continue our profitable growth in 2016 and beyond. This year our main focus will continue to be on corporate and SME lending activities and plastic cards business. We have an ambitious target for 2016 that we aim to increase our loan book by over 30% through new granting activities mainly from corporate / SME business lines”, completed Yakup Cil.
The target for plastic cards business is also ambitious that the bank would like to increase the total number of credit cards by over 10% and total cards turnover by over 15%. To reach this goal the bank launched a new plastic card product at the end of last year, which is called “OptimoCard”. OptimoCard is a preapproved consumer loan facility that gives customers up to 36 months of instalments. Also this year the bank will introduce another innovative card product for Romanian consumers, which will receive big interest from the customers.
Another aspect CEB Romania is proud to announce is that up until today Credit Europe Group has completed offering solutions to more than 1,000 credits for the clients with CHF loans, in an effort to provide clients with rapid options to their financial difficulties. The solutions offered are in line with the current payment capacity of the client, assessed by our Bank, based on the financial documents provided to the Bank.
Willing to have a better understanding of its clients’ needs, from this perspective, the Bank has recently established a dedicated Hotline (021 406 50 60). Here, all CHF clients in need and willing to access a custom solution will have an easier channel to start the communication with the Bank’s representatives.
