President Iohannis to start state visit to Turkey

Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis will pay a state visit to the Republic of Turkey, Tuesday through Thursday, to meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and the local Romanian community. According to the Presidential Administration, Iohannis will also have a meeting with Istanbul Province Governor Vasip Sahin, Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas, and the local Romanian community.

In Ankara on Wednesday, Iohannis is scheduled to meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The visit schedule also includes meetings with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly Ismail Kahraman and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
