- Tax relaxation represents the most favourable element in improving the business climate
Bureaucracy is the number one issue for businesspeople at their start-up, regardless of the industry they are working in, except for the media and advertising industry and a few more services, a study on Romanian start-ups made by EY Romania and Impact Hub and presented in a press conference on Tuesday points out.
In an opposition to perceived issues, the study shows, entrepreneurs suggest tax relaxation overall (26 per cent of replies), the cut or significant decrease of taxes, especially for start-ups (20 per cent) and the reduction of bureaucracy (14 per cent) as measures of highest impact in supporting entrepreneurs.
The chart also includes creating several financing programs for start-ups, from European funds or non-reimbursable funds granted by the Romanian state but also the founding of institution that would grant real support to start-ups by providing them counseling, working places, business incubators managed and supported by the state, a functional e-counter and the digitalisation of state institution. The last has an obvious direction of decreasing the level of bureaucracy.
