Romanian women’s handball team CSM Bucharest on Saturday qualified for the first time for the EHF Final4 after pulling off a sensational win 29-28 (16-11) against Russia’s Rostov-Don in the second leg of the quarterfinals.
This was the Romanians’ second win against the Russian adversaries in the current edition of the tournament, after the 26 – 25 win in Bucharest. The team coached by Dane Kim Rasmussen controlled the match from start to end and even took the lead by seven goals at a certain moment. At break time, CSM Bucharest was leading by 5 goals.
The 2016 Women’s EHF FINAL4 takes place in Budapest on May 7 – 8.
