“End of Summer” documentary screened in an international first at Vision du Reel Festival

“End of Summer,” a 20-minute documentary signed by Romania’s Alina Manolache (photo), was selected for the Premiers Pas competition at the 47th edition of the Vision du Reel Documentary Film Festival, an event that will take place in Nyon, Switzerland, on April 15-23, the event’s official website informs. “End of Summer” outlines the collective portrait of high school graduates in Vama, Bucovina.

The documentary was screened for the first time in Romania in October 2015, at Sibiu’s Astra Film Festival, being the only short reel included in the Romanian Competitive section. Scheduled to take place on April 15-23, the Vision du Reel International Documentary Film Festival is one of the most prestigious events of this type in the world.
