At its fifth edition, International Conference ABA, has brought in Bucharest top lecturers in ABA therapy from the United States, Britain, Norway and Romania. The event took place at the Romanian-American University April 8 to 10 and was organized by the Association of Applied Behavioral Therapy and Help Autism Association in partnership with public institutions, professional associations, non-governmental organizations and private companies. Every year this international event brings together about 500 participants from Romania and abroad – psychologists, physicians, teachers, students and parents of autistic children. “International Conference ABA has become a landmark for Romanian therapists training and for informing parents. Through collaboration between Romanian and outside institutions and the private segment we will continue the development of ABA in Romania and recognizing behavioral analyst profession here,” stated Anca Dumitrescu, psychologist and scientific coordinator of the conference.
The partners of this edition were the College of Psychologists and the College of Physicians in Romania, the Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy Association, Romanian Association for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Associated Professions, National Society of Family Medicine, the Association of Romanian Society of Pediatrics and Association ABA Romania.
