84.6 pc of Romanians do not agree with refugees/immigrants settling down in Romania

Over 80 pc of Romanians do not agree with refugees/immigrants settling down in Romania, an INSCOP Research survey shows.

According to the survey, 84.6 pc of Romanians state they do not agree with refugees/immigrants settling down in Romania (compared to 80.2 percent in November 2015 and 65.3 percent in September 2015), while 11 percent agree (compared to 16.1 percent in November 2015 and 26.5 percent in September 2015). The percentage of those who did not know or did not want to answer stood at 4.3 percent in March (compared to 3.7 percent in November 2015 and 8.2 percent in September 2015).

The INSCOP survey shows that 88.3 percent of the respondents state that they do not agree with refugees/immigrants settling down or being housed in their locality (compared to 81.9 percent in November 2015 and 67.1 percent in September 2015), while 7.7 percent agree (compared to 14.2 percent in November 2015 and 24.4 percent in September 2015). 3.9 percent of respondents did not know or did not want to answer (compared to 3.9 percent in November 2015 and 8.5 percent in September 2015).

The “INSCOP – Truth about Romania” survey was conducted by INSCOP Research on March 21-28, being ordered by ‘Adevarul’ daily.
