Three performances from the repertoire of Bucharest National Theatre (TNB) and a premiere signed Gigi Caciuleanu will be presented on the stages of the above mentioned theatre during the week when all the Romanian actors and theatre enthusiastic people, worldwide Thalia fans, are looking forward to see the marking events of 400 years since the death of the famous playwright.
The play called “The Storm” (“Furtuna”) will be performed on Friday, April 22, at 8.00 p.m., on the Large Stage of TNB, within the 10th edition of the Shakespeare International Festival.
Two performances inspired by the great playwright will take place on April 23. The first performance, which is part of the “9G at TNB” program, the only one inspired by the Shakespearean drama, will be performed at 8.00 p.m., in the Small Hall – Dystopia. Also at 8.00 p.m., the premiere called “Folía, Shakespeare & Co.”, a “Gigi Caciuleanu Romania Dance Company” production will be performed in the Studio Hall, based an original screenplay, upon the “torments in vain” theme or the rush triggered by Amor, with his whole cortege of … victims, jesters, fairies, spirits, diaphanous creations or unusual creatures.
On Sunday, April 24, the most erotic Shakespearean play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, directed by Petrica Ionescu in a colorful and original vision, will lead you in the world of illusion and… erotic experience.
