Antje Marielle Gerhold, ProCredit Bank Romania’s new CEO

Dr_Antje_Marielle_GerholdDr. Antje Marielle Gerhold has been appointed CEO of ProCredit Bank, the only bank in Romania with 100 percent German shareholders. Her term in office started on April 21, Ms. Gerhold thus joining Mariana Petkova, Deputy CEO, at the helm of the banking institution.

Ms. Gerhold, the bank’s new CEO, is familiarised with the institution, having previously held the position of Manager within ProCredit Holding, ProCredit Bank Romania’s parent company. Prior to her latest appointment, Ms. Gerhold was Chairperson of the Board.

Referring to her new position, Ms. Gerhold stated: “I look forward with confidence to continuing my activity within ProCredit Bank Romania from this new standpoint, from which I will be able to contribute to the development of the high-quality services that ProCredit Bank offers to SMEs and physical persons.”

As director responsible for Commerzbank’s Central and Eastern European segment, with a solid career within Commerzbank and Deloitte Business Consulting, Ms. Gerhold has vast experience in the banking sector, the East European economic environment and the management of human resources, experience with which she will contribute to the development of ProCredit Bank Romania.
