Cargo List project, financed through Horizon 2020

The company will benefit from EUR 50,000 from the EC’s Instruments for SMEs programme

Cluj-based Cargo List is one of the SMEs selected for financing as part of Horizon 2020 programme’s Instrument for SMEs. The Romanian company’s project entails the construction of a real-time tendering platform for freight transport services at European level. The company will benefit from EUR 50,000 for the financing of the feasibility studies and from a free entrepreneurial training stage.

Overall, 189 SMEs from 26 countries have been selected for financing, the SMEs proposing 174 projects. The funds are offered as part of Phase 1 of the Instrument for SMEs and have a total value of EUR 8.7 M. The European Commission received 1,995 proposals by February 24, the first deadline this year.

The Instrument for SMEs is implemented through a single continuously open call for proposals, with deadlines set four times a year. The grants total EUR 50,000 for Phase 1 projects and up to EUR 2.5 M for Phase 2 projects.

The next deadline for Phase 1 is May 3. Since the start of the programme, on 1 January 2014, 1,473 SMEs from 33 countries have been financed at European level.
