The National Meteorology Administration /ANM/ on Monday issued a Code Yellow for rains, snow and gales for 29 counties, including the city of Bucharest, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to meteorologists, from May 3, 9:00 am and until May 4, 9:00 pm, in the provinces of Oltenia, Muntenia, Dobrogea, the southern half of Moldavia and the Eastern and Southern Carpathians there will be heavy rains on wide areas and at altitudes higher than 1,700 meters, especially in the Southern Carpathians, precipitation will be in the form of snow.
In the areas under the weather advisory, the wind will blow in gales of 55 to 65 kmph, and the gusts will exceed 70 kmph in mountainous areas.
In the southern, southeastern and central Romania, the day temperatures will be unseasonably cold.
The counties under Code Yellow for rain on Monday are Bistrita-Nasaud, Suceava, Neamt, Bacau, Vaslui, Vrancea, Galati, Braila, Tulcea, Ialomita, Calarasi, Constanta, Ilfov, Giurgiu, Dambovita, Prahova, Buzau, Harghita, Mures, Covasna, Sibiu, Brasov, Teleorman, Olt, Dolj, Mehedinti, Gorj, Valcea and Arges.
