Enel reconditioning electrical grid in Bucharest

Simco International Impex, an energy services company, has won a RON 7.1 M contract to carry out investment and maintenance works on low- and high-voltage public lighting networks in Bucharest, networks leased to Enel, according to an announcement posted on the electronic system for public procurements (SEAP).

Enel Distributie Muntenia, the contracting authority, points out that a third of the works can be subcontracted. The lowest price was the criterion for the awarding of the contract.

Present on the Romanian market since 2005, Enel is currently the largest private investor in the energy domain, with operations in the electricity distribution and supply sector but also in the renewable energy production sector.

Enel has over 3,100 employees in Romania and offers services to 2.7 million clients in three important regions: Muntenia South (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering almost a third of the local distribution market.
