Oracle Romania reaches 4,200 employees

The Romanian subsidiary of Oracle, the largest global producer of software applications, has hired over 1,000 people in the last 12 months, reaching 4,200 employees, Oracle Romania CEO Sorin Mandrutescu stated.

“The emergence of new business lines, as a result of the migration toward the cloud, and the quality of the Romanian human resources were the factors that led to the growth in the number of employees to 4,200 persons. We will continue to hire. We permanently have open positions,” Mandrutescu stated at a press conference.

With a turnover of USD 40 bln in fiscal year 2015, America’s Oracle Group started its activity in Romania in 1995.

At the end of 2014, the subsidiary had 2,470 employees and a turnover of RON 703.4 M, both indicators registering annual growth, according to Finance Ministry data.
