Nuclearelectrica profit up by over 88pc in Q1

National Company Nuclearelectrica posted in Q1 of this year a net (unaudited) profit of 66.861 million lei, by 88.68pc higher than in the similar period of 2015, when it stood at 35.435 million lei, according to data sent to on Friday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The company’s revenues society in the said period decreased by 2.4pc to 457.753 million lei, while operating expenditures were reduced by 14.42pc to 378.457 million lei.
In the first three months of 2016, the company sold some 21pc of energy on the regulated market. The total quantity of electricity sold was 2,802,566 MWh compared to 2,793,437 MWh in January to March 2015. The average sale price of electricity on the regulated market was 162.77 lei / MWh.
On March 31, Nuclearelectrica had total claims of 139.534 million lei and debts of 227.239 million lei.
