Postmodern Jukebox band will perform in Bucharest for the first time on May 29, 2016, at Palace Hall. The show is organized by Events.
There are big chances that you’ve already heard about the fantastic music ensemble known as Postmodern Jukebox from the social media. Their songs have been posted on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and others, being sincerely appreciated by everybody for their amazing skill to take contemporary pop hits and transform them into wonderful vintage songs, giving them the perfume of the last century. Just imagine songs performed by voices like Beyonce, Britney Spears or Taylor Swift, remade as if they were wrote for Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland or Nina Simone, and a small and vibrant orchestra, having the sound of Benny Goodman Orchestra after an overdose of energizing.
They’ve created an hysteria on Youtube when their cover “We Can’t Stop” (Miley Cyrus) gathered over 14 million views. They continued by transforming Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” into a vintage cabaret, by sliding to jazz with Meghan Trainor’s “All About The Bass”, by inserting the 70’s soul in “I Want It That Way” (Backstreet Boys), or by launching a touching version for voice & piano of the famous “Take Me To Church” (Hozier). Last month, Postmodern Jukebox Youtube channel reached more than 1,5 million subscribers and over 313 million views.
As in the case of their famous videos, each live melody performed by Postmodern Jukebox is a bridge between generations, with fresh songs having a familiar sound. It’s a show you will not want to miss, being irresistible for people of all ages!
