Italian Ambassador pleased with increase in number of Italian companies operating in Romania

Italy’s Ambassador Diego Brasioli said on Wednesday in Iasi that the number of Italian companies operating in Romania has continued to grow over the past year, same as the level of economic exchanges between the two countries, and voiced his satisfaction at these developments.

The Italian diplomat was in Iasi on Wednesday to participate in the inauguration of the new UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions (UBIS) office building.

“Yesterday I received from the National Institute of Statistics the latest data on our countries’ bilateral economic cooperation. In 2015, the amount was of over 13 billion euros, and in 2014 – 12.14 billion. The number of Italian companies operating in Romania has continued to grow. In 2015, there were 2,203 Italian companies registered. We are very pleased. I came to this event to support the banking system together with the Romanian authorities. Increasingly more international companies are investing on an excellence level”, Italy’s Ambassador in Bucharest Diego Brasioli said in his speech.

Round 600 persons work in the UBIS building located in the Palas residential complex, in a place which is modern, friendly and adapted to the company’s needs.
