Certinvest becomes Ascendia minority shareholder

SAI Certinvest, the largest independent investment management company, which has over 22 years of experience on the Romanian investment market, and Ascendia, a local eLearning company, have reached an agreement through which SAI Certinvest has become Ascendia’s minority shareholder.

Certinvest has taken over a package of shares representing 10 percent of Ascendia’s registered capital, rounding off its portfolio with a new alternative and attractive investment zone. Ascendia is one of the promoters of education through technology, having 9 years of experience in developing educational software and eLearning platforms on the Romanian market. The company’s main business lines are the development of digital content for preschoolers and schoolchildren, of training platforms and content for companies and of research and development projects in the e-learning domain.

Certinvest and Ascendia jointly seek to support the eLearning company in its process of being floated on the alternative AeRO market, a process handled by the Intercapital Invest brokerage company. Certinvest will put at the company’s disposal its management team’s expertise, supporting it in its plans to develop on the local market and on foreign markets and in implementing corporate governance standards typical of a listed company.
