Turkish festival in Titan Park

Turkish folklore, ancient art, traditional handmade works, Turkish cuisine. All of these are gathered in a unique event: “Turkish Festival”. It will be held at Titan Park from May 20 to May 22. Access is free.

45 stands with Turkish goodies will be prepared by the organizers for three days. Tea and Turkish coffee will also be present at the stands of gastronomic products. In order to lead you in the specific ambiance, organizers will bring Anatolia’s crafts, dances and music to Bucharest.

Visitors are invited to take part at workshops of calligraphy, miniatures, gilt (tezhip) and ebru (the famous Turkish art that involves water painting followed by mottling paper), and learn the secrets of the oriental arts from the Turkish plastic artists.

Throughout the Festival, every hour you will be able to assist at concerts performed by Turkish vocal and instrumental music bands, traditional dance shows, performances of the “Mehter” Ottoman military fanfare, consisting in 35 interpreters, and the dance of the whirling dervishes.
