The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Monday a yellow code weather warning for rainfalls throughout the country. The warning will come into force on Tuesday, at 3 p.m., and will expire at 9 p.m. on Wednesday. According to meteorologists, during this period most of the country will register significant atmospheric instability. There will be showers, thunderstorms, wind gusts and hailstorms, the latter over limited areas. The quantity of rain that will be registered in Moldavia, Dobrogea, Transylvania, Maramures, northern and eastern Muntenia and at the mountainside will surpass 20-25 litres per square metre locally and 50-70 litres over limited areas, particularly in the Eastern Carpathians. In the second half of Tuesday and early on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, events typical of atmospheric instability will be registered at a higher intensity in central and southern Muntenia too, including in Bucharest.
